Cava is the famous sparkling wine of Spain. It has become synonymous with Catalunya, with 95% of the glorious bottles coming out of the Penedes Region. As with all of our wine tastings, you will be welcomed at the front area of our bodega. This area, which has been here since 1952, is lined with local barrels of wines. We explain the history and the importance of bodegas in the Catalonian culture, and of course what makes these wine bars and shops in Barcelona so special.

Next, we will guide you and your guests inside to the newer part of the bodega. Here, you will have your seating area ready and prepared with a delicious array of food. A selection of meats (Fuet, Longanissa & Chorizo & also two kinds of cheese, Manchego & Idiazabal. We will also include olives, bread and olive oil! All served on boards and platters for your group. We can also include extra food items at guests request, including vegetarian and gluten-free alternatives.

The key to understanding Cava, and of course how it is made is understanding what makes up the base wine. It is for this reason that we serve some white wines before diving into some great cavas. In this way, you can truly understand and therefore enjoy Cava!
